Uttarakhand : The weather is about to change, it will rain again, the capital will get wet!
According to the Meteorological Department, the new WD will be active from Tuesday. On Tuesday, there will be cloudy sky in the districts of Doon and Garhwal division of the state and there will be light rain in the hilly areas. The scope of rain is likely to increase from wednesday. The rain is likely to continue on February 23 and 24 as well. However, on 24th, rain is likely to occur only in high altitude areas.
Yellow alert for two days
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for February 22 and 23. On Tuesday, the state is likely to experience hail and thundershower activities at isolated places. Winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph have been predicted at isolated places in the plains. This trend is likely to continue on February 24. Along with this, there is a possibility of snowfall in the areas above 3500 meters. On February 25, there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in the hill districts.
Temperature will rise
During WD, there is a possibility of some increase in the temperature despite rain due to south-easterly winds in the state. The maximum temperature of Monday’s Doon was recorded at 24.9 degree Celsius, 2 degrees above the normal and 7.5 degree Celsius, 1 degree less than the minimum temperature normal. For the next three days, the maximum temperature may decrease by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may increase by 3 to 4 degrees.
