Uttar Pradesh : BJP MLA said – Muslim blood in the veins of Hindus who will not vote for me

A video clip of BJP MLA Raghavendra Pratap Singh, who is contesting from Uttar Pradesh’s Dumariaganj assembly seat, is going viral, in which he can be heard saying that ‘Hindus who will not vote for me have Muslim blood in their veins’. Singh admitted that he had made the remark five days ago, but added that it was said in another context, as an example, and that he had “no intention of threatening anyone”.

He said, “I have said those things, I am not denying. But I spoke in another context, as an example, and was making comparisons with the past. I had no intention of threatening anyone. Can anyone threaten and win elections in Dumariaganj where there are around 1.73 lakh Muslim voters, of which the percentage is about 39.8.” In the video, the MLA can be heard using abusive words.
He says, “Tell me, will any Muslim vote for me? So keep in mind that if the Hindus of this village support the other side, they have Muslim blood in their veins. They are traitors.” “And once if I do not understand with warning, then this time I will tell who is Raghavendra Singh. Because if you betray me, it will work, I will bear the humiliation. Even if you insult me, I will bear the humiliation. If you try to humiliate our Hindu society, I will ruin it.”
Explaining his statement, Singh said, “It is true. If a Hindu girl elopes with a Muslim boy and Hindus mediate on behalf of the boy I spoke in that context. I think the whole speech was not such that people would add or delete words.” Dumariaganj MLA is also in-charge of Hindu Yuva Vahini. He will contest again from his constituency on March 3.
