Gangotri, Kedarnath, Chakrata, Pithoragarh, Almora etc. have registered an increase in cold after snowfall. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of rain and snowfall from 26 to 27 February.
There may be rain for two days in Uttarakhand, alert regarding snowfall
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain, hailstorm in all the districts of the state for Saturday. According to the Meteorological Department, hailstorm, plantation, horticulture and standing crops can be damaged. Also people and cattle can get injured due to hailstorm in open places.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in many districts of the state on Saturday and snowfall in areas above three thousand meters. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at isolated places in Bageshwar, Pithoragarh districts on 27th. The weather will remain dry in the remaining districts of the state. The weather is likely to remain dry in the state on 28th also.
But from March 1, the weather in the state could worsen again. There is a possibility of very light rain and snowfall at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh districts. Director of Meteorological Department Bikram Singh said that on February 28 also, there is a possibility of western disturbances becoming effective in the state.
