“Have defeated Hitler, will defeat Putin too”, Ukraine invites foreign nationals to join the army
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that his country was setting up an “international” army of foreign volunteers. “This will be prime evidence of your support for our country,” Zelensky said in a statement, according to Reuters news agency.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba tweeted from his official handle that foreign nationals wishing to join the Volunteer Army for the defense of Ukraine should contact the diplomatic missions of Ukraine in their respective countries.
He tweeted, “Foreign nationals wishing to defend Ukraine and the world order as part of the regional defense of Ukraine’s International Army, I invite you to contact Ukraine’s foreign diplomatic missions in your respective countries. Together we have defeated Hitler and we will defeat Putin too.”
