‘International Space Station may fall on India..’ Russian Space Chief slams America

The head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos has said that the new sanctions imposed by the United States (US) have the potential to destroy our cooperation on the International Space Station (ISS). On Thursday, US President Joe Biden announced tough sanctions to punish Russia for attacking Ukraine.
In another tweet, he said, ‘There is also the option of falling a 500 ton structure on India or China. Do you want to threaten them with such a possibility? The ISS does not fly over Russia, so all risks and dangers are yours. Are you ready for them?”
He then offered a “friendly advice”, calling on the US not to behave “irresponsibly”. However, NASA has clarified that the new sanctions will not jeopardize space cooperation between the two countries.
Let us tell you that US President Joe Biden on Friday extended his sanctions against Russia and also banned the travel of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Biden announced sanctions against Russia just hours after Putin announced a “military operation” in Ukraine. He was the first world leader to do so.
Earlier, the US had banned four Russian banks from providing financial aid. Apart from this, restricting its access to cutting-edge technology and banning the travel of Russian lawmakers to America. The US also barred energy giant Gazprom and 12 other major companies from raising capital in Western financial markets.
