Father gave last advice to Indian student killed in Ukraine 2 days ago

Amidst the safe repatriation of thousands of Indian students in Ukraine, shocking news came on Tuesday when an Indian medical student was hit by Russian bombing in the war-torn Kharkiv city. Gone and killed. The deceased has been identified as Naveen Shekharappa (Indian student Naveen Shekharappa) of Haveri district of Karnataka. Naveen had a conversation with his father and grandfather two days ago through video conferencing. Now his family is in shock and a mountain of sorrow has broken on him. Recalling Naveen’s last words, the family is crying badly. The father then advised Naveen that if he had an Indian flag, he should hoist it on the building where he was staying. Naveen’s grandfather had told him to look for options to go to the border safely, but never go out amid the bombing. This conversation of Naveen with his family is going to break anyone’s heart. Naveen and other Indian students seem to have taken shelter in a bunker from where only two per cent of the people were able to get out safely. When his father asked why he did not go, he said that it was overcrowded and the situation was very critical. Conversation excerpts…
Naveen’s father:- Hello, Bhuvi…How many people have been able to leave so far Naveen:- 15 to 20 boys are my seniors, they have been able to go
Naveen’s father:- 15 to 20 seniors have left so far Naveen’s grandfather:- Bhuvi, I am telling your grandfather, you also try to get out of there immediately, get out of there somehow
Naveen:-everyone is trying
Dada: Yes do because day by day the situation is getting worse there.
Naveen :- yes
Dada:- We have talked to Minister Piyush Goyal, he said that there is a little problem, if we try to move from there, then rescue is possible, he has said that our government has talked to both the countries, both the countries has assured them that nothing will happen to the Indians there.
Naveen :- Yes
Dada: – That’s why you plan something, take the initiative, see the situation completely first, don’t think to go out during the bombing
Naveen :- Got it
Dada: – get a train bus
Naveen: – Yes I have received the information that now the trains have started running, there is a train at 6 am 10 am and 1 pm.
Dada:- Take a decision after seeing the situation there, if you leave 40-50 KM, then some way will be found, but without any help don’t take any risk on your own.
