Uttarakhand / Kotdwar : Fear among students and villagers due to threat of Guldar in Kotila village

There has been a threat of Guldar in Kotila village under Bironkhal block for the last one week, causing panic among the villagers and the students studying in the primary school Gujiya Mahadev Kotila. Villagers Jaipal Singh, Deep Singh, Ajay Singh, Chitra Singh, Kavita Devi, Arjun Sajwan, Shanti Devi etc. said that since a week, the roar of Guldar is being heard around the school and village. Guldar is visible around the village even during the day, due to which school students, teachers and villagers are afraid of Guldar. The villagers raised the demand of the forest department to catch the guldar and increase patrolling in the area. On the other hand, Jitendra Singh Chauhan, Forest Veet Officer of Forest Department Diwa Range Dhumakote said that continuous patrolling is being done in the forest adjacent to the village. Along with this, the villagers are being made aware.
