Uttarakhand : Congress veterans also reached Dehradun, churning continues on government formation

Assembly Election 2022: Congress’s state in-charge Devendra Yadav and observer BV Patil reached Dehradun this morning in the midst of preparations for counting of votes. The rest of the leaders are expected to reach Doon by 10 am. Top Congress leaders will sit with the leaders of the state today and discuss the counting of votes and the subsequent strategy. After the results of various exit polls, both the Congress and the BJP are in tension. According to the exit polls, there is a close contest between the two parties. This was the situation in the year 2012 and during that time Congress got 32 seats and BJP got 31 seats. On the lead of one seat, the Congress had won by mobilizing independents.

But this time BJP is also fully alert. Congress State General Secretary-Organization Mathuradutt Joshi said that all the top party leaders will decide the strategy today. Joshi claimed that the Congress was getting a clear majority, winning 42 to 48 seats. The picture will be clear on the 10th.
