Half a dozen IPS and DSP level officers in Bhagalpur, yet the city on a pile of gunpowder?

More than a dozen people died in a horrific bomb blast that took place late on Thursday in a house of Kajivlichak under Tatarpur police station area. At the same time, more than 10 people are admitted to the hospital in injured condition. This is not the first incident of bomb blast. Talking about the district, different areas have been shaken by continuous bomb blasts. The place where the blast happened now has also exploded several times in the past. But this cycle is not taking the name of stopping. This time the blast has happened when many officers of DSP, SP and DIG level have been deployed in the city.

Two police stations come a short distance away from the house where the blast took place in Bhagalpur on Thursday. Tatarpur police station where DSP level officers sit and Kotwali police station where the IPS officer himself also has his office and residence nearby. Bhagalpur Junction is just a short distance away from the spot, where thousands of passengers are present daily. Even after that, the game of bombs and ammunition is very common here. The blast on Thursday shook the entire city. Its echo has gone from Patna to Delhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has taken it into cognizance.

The house where this gunpowder game was going on was completely grounded. But the threat of this blast also took the nearby houses under its control. Many people in the neighborhood died tragically. People are living in fear. The incident of explosion has already happened at this place also. At the same time, there have been a total of 6 blasts in different areas in the last year in which many people including children also lost their lives. But the police could not make any strong preparations after any incident.

Many senior police officers including Range DIG, SSP, City SP, ASP, DSP (Headquarters), DSP (Law and Order) are posted in Bhagalpur. But such incidents happen under their noses. The opposition has also targeted the attitude of the police. Bhagalpur MLA Ajit Sharma has directly questioned the role of the police. However, now in the name of action, the SHO has been suspended for the time being. But the question remains whether this much can reduce the seriousness of the matter.
