Uttarakhand: Discussion on 4 Brahmin faces in CM’s race, Subodh Uniyal’s name also included in the race
BJP is once again on the way to create history in Uttarakhand. The party seems to be getting a clear majority here. However, BJP leader and CM Pushkar Singh Dhami himself has not been able to save his seat. He has been defeated by Bhuvan Kapri of Congress from Khatima seat. With the defeat of Dhami, the chain of defeat of Chief Ministers in Uttarakhand also continued. First Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri, then Harish Rawat and now Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has not been able to save his assembly seat while being the Chief Minister. With the defeat of Dhami, the discussion has also intensified as to who will now be the CM face of the BJP in the state. Actually, six months before the elections, the BJP had changed three faces of the CM here.
CM was defeated in 2012 and 2017
In the 2012 assembly elections, BJP leader Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri lost to Congress candidate Surendra Singh Negi by 4,623 votes. Similarly, in 2017 CM Harish Rawat lost the election from Haridwar Rural to Swami Yatheeswaranand of BJP by 12,278 votes. At the same time, now CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has lost by more than 6500 votes.

1-Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank
Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is the former CM of Uttarakhand. He has also been the Minister of Human Resource Development at the Centre. Nishank is currently a Lok Sabha MP from Haridwar seat.
2- Subodh Uniyal
Subodh Uniyal has been MLA from Narendra Nagar thrice in the year 2002, 2012 and 2017. In the previous government, he has also held the post of Government Spokesperson and Agriculture Minister. And now in 2022, he has again waved his victory by defeating Congress candidate Om Gopal Rawat.
3- Anil Baluni
Anil Baluni’s name has been taken in the list of CM post of Uttarakhand. Anil Baluni is currently a Rajya Sabha MP of BJP. Baluni is a resident of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.
4- Ajay Bhatt
The name of Ajay Bhatt, a minister in the central government, is also in discussions about being made the Chief Minister. Ajay Bhatt is the Minister of State for Defense at the Center and the Rajya Sabha MP from Uttarakhand. Ajay Bhatt has been a frequent MLA from the state formation from Ranikhet before becoming a minister at the Centre.
Modi-Amit Shah can surprise
