This agreement will become a symbol of friendship and unity between India and Australia. The Union Minister said that we are considering work and holiday visa arrangements to promote tourism. For Indian students, especially STEM graduates, a post-study work visa will be available for between 2 and 4 years.
The Union Minister said that we are removing trade barriers, which will double the trade in future. This will have great potential for labour-oriented sectors. The economic cooperation and trade agreement between India and Australia is expected to take the bilateral trade from the current $27 billion to around $45-50 billion over the next 5 years. Goyal said that India-Australia are natural partners, united by the shared values of democracy, rule of law and transparency. Like 2 brothers, 2 nations supported each other in the pandemic.
