‘KGF 2’ becomes the new Baahubali at the box office

Actor Yash’s film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ has written a new chapter in the history of Hindi cinema with its first week earnings. Released in Hindi, the top 5 highest grossing films in the country have now become two films that were not originally made in Hindi, yet Hindi-speaking audiences gave them more affection than films made in Hindi. ‘KGF Chapter 2’ is the second film after ‘Bahubali 2’ to do such a feat. Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur’s film ‘Jersey’ and producer Neeraj Pandey’s film ‘Operation Romeo’ are releasing at the box office on Friday. But, the favorite film of the audience at the box office still remains ‘KGF Chapter 2’.
‘KGF Chapter 2’ wrote a new chapter
The net earning of the film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ has been around Rs 524 crore in the first week at the domestic box office. The biggest contribution in this was the earnings of the Hindi version of the film. However, the voice heard in the Hindi version of the film is not that of Yash. His dubbing in Hindi has been done by another artist Sachin Gole. It is the voice of Sachin Gole that there is applause on every dialogue of Yash in the film ‘KGF Chapter 2’. The film grossed around Rs 14 crore in Hindi on Friday.
Journey of the first week
The film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ Hindi took a bumper opening of Rs 53.95 crore on the day of release. This was the highest collection of any film released in Hindi in the country. The film earned Rs 46.79 crore on the second day, Rs 42.90 crore on the third day, Rs 50.35 crore on the fourth day, Rs 25.57 crore on the fifth day, Rs 19.14 crore on the sixth day, Rs 16.35 crore on the seventh day and the film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ on the eighth day of release i.e. Thursday. Hindi earned around Rs 14 crore. In this way, the film has earned around Rs 270 crore in Hindi only in the first week of its release.

So far, none of the films released in Hindi in the country have earned even Rs 250 crore in the first week. The film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ has written this new history in Indian cinema. With the first week earning Rs 270 crore in Hindi only, the film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ has so far pushed back the number one Hindi film ‘Bahubali 2’ from this position in terms of first week’s earnings. Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Sanju’ has suffered a direct loss due to this new reshuffle and this film has been left out of the list of top five highest grossing films in the first week.

In the top 5 highest grossing films in the first week, now the film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ is at number one, ‘Bahubali 2’, which has earned 247 crores, is at number two, ‘War’, which has earned Rs 238 crore, is at number three. But, the film ‘Sultan’, which grossed Rs 229 crore, is at number four and the film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which has earned about Rs 206 crore, is at number five. Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Sanju’, which earned around Rs 203 crore in the first week, has reached number six.

Talking about the collection of all languages of the film ‘KGF Chapter 2’, the film has reached around Rs 700 crore in the worldwide collection. The net collection of the film at the domestic box office has been around Rs 524 crore. Out of the two new films ‘Jersey’ and ‘Operation Romeo’ which released on Friday at the box office, only ‘Jersey’ is expected to give some competition to this film. Shahid Kapoor has done a great job in ‘Jersey’, which is releasing on about two thousand screens. However, the film industry is not very excited about the opening of the film.
