BJP changed the name of Mohammadpur village to Madhavpuram in Delhi, AAP gave this reaction

BJP leaders have announced to change the name of village Mohammadpur in South Delhi to Madhavpuram. Under the leadership of State BJP President Adesh Gupta and South Delhi Mayor Mukesh Suryan, a program was organized in the village on Wednesday. BJP leaders posed for photographs in front of a board bearing the name of Madhavpuram village. Adesh Gupta has also shared this on his Twitter.
Adesh Gupta tweeted that after the proposal for naming Madhavpuram village was passed in the corporation, the process of naming the village was completed today. From now on this village will be known as Madhavpuram instead of Mohammadpur. Even after 75 years of independence, no symbol of slavery should be part of us, no Delhiite wants it.

State BJP president Adesh Gupta said that the process of changing the name was taken forward by the local people and BJP workers after a resolution was passed in this regard by the South Municipal Corporation of Delhi. A proposal to change the name of ‘Muhammadpur’ to ‘Madhavpuram’ was sent to the Delhi government in December last year. Although the Delhi government has not officially changed the name of this village yet.
BJP leaders also say that the party will send a resolution to the Kejriwal government demanding that the names of 40 villages in Delhi be changed as they symbolize the period of “slavery”. These 40 villages include Humayunpur, Yusuf Sarai, Masoodpur, Jamrudpur, Begumpur, Saidul Ajab, Fatehpur Beri, Hauz Khas and Sheikh Sarai.

At the same time, according to news agency PTI, on this announcement by BJP leaders, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party has said that Delhi has a ‘state naming authority’ for all such cases, and if it gets such a proposal, it will follow due process. Following this, they will do a proper review and move forward. The Aam Aadmi Party alleged that the BJP does not want the government to work according to the due process. He is looking for opportunities to start a hooliganism.
