Uttarakhand / Ramnagar : So far 43.2 hectare area of forest department has been affected by forest fire.

Corbett Tiger Reserve under Department Ramnagar, Forest Division Ramnagar and Forest Division Terai Western has about 43.2 hectares of forest area affected by forest fire. 43.2 hectares of forest area has been affected. Giving more details, Corbett Tiger Reserve Deputy Director Neeraj Sharma said that so far 10 incidents of forest fire have taken place in Corbett Tiger Reserve, in which about 6.1 hectares of forest area has been affected, he said. That these incidents were sporadic incidents, which were immediately controlled by the forest personnel of our Corbett Tiger Reserve. Chandrashekhar Joshi, DFO of the same forest division Ramnagar said that till now we have 22 incidents of total forest fire in which our Fatehpur range which is the most sensitive area from the point of view of forest fire has 14 incidents, the same total 22 incidents in Ramnagar forest division. In which incidents of forest fire have occurred in Kaladhungi and the surrounding area, in which 32 hectare area has been affected.
