Uttar Pradesh : Alleged rape of a minor who reached the police station to file a complaint of gangrape, SHO suspended

A gang-rape victim has accused the SHO of a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Lalitpur district of rape. After this the SHO has been suspended. An FIR has been registered against 6 people including the police station in the case. The accused SHO is absconding. The 13-year-old girl has alleged that she was first gang-raped by 4 people and then when she reached the police station with her complaint, the SHO raped her inside the police station.

A police officer from Lalitpur told the media that police teams have been formed to arrest the SHO and other accused. Please tell that the victim has complained about this entire incident to the SP, after which this action has been taken. The police chief has been suspended.

A minor girl was kidnapped and raped by four youths on April 22. After being released from the clutches of the accused, when the victim reached the police station to plead for justice, instead of giving justice, she had to be a victim of harassment. It is alleged that Tilakdhari Saroj, the station chief present there, also raped her. The victim narrated her ordeal to the SP, after which action is being taken.

Lalitpur police say that they have made charges under the rape and POCSO Act against the SHO and others in the case. However, the arrest of the accused police officer is yet to happen. Lalitpur SP Nikhil Pathak said that we have arrested an accused and are interrogating him. The SHO is suspended and he is a criminal. That’s why we have formed teams to arrest him.
