Big news for cricket fans, BCCI announces Women’s T20 Challenge, tournament is starting from May 23

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the Indian Premier League-2022 Playoff and Women’s T20 Challenge 2022. IPL 2022 playoff matches will be played in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Qualifier 1 and Eliminator match will be played in Kolkata, while Qualifier 2 and IPL 2022 final will be played in Ahmedabad. So the Women’s T20 Challenge 2022 will start from May 23 in Pune.

According to the press release issued by the IPL, Qualifier 1 will be played between the first and second place teams in the IPL-2022 points table on 24 May at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. The Eliminator match will be held in Kolkata on May 25. The third and fourth placed teams in the points table will compete.

The winner of IPL 2022 Qualifier-2 Match Eliminator and the runner-up team of Qualifier 1 will play on May 27 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The IPL final will be played on 29 May in Ahmedabad. The final will start at 7.30 pm IST and will kick off at 7 pm.

The BCCI has announced the Women’s T20 Challenge, also known as the Mini Women’s IPL, which will start from May 23 with three teams participating. The team of Supernova Trailblazers and Velocity will play in the Women’s T20 Challenge. A total of four matches will be played including three leagues and a final. The match will be played at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The first match will be played on 23rd May. The second match will be played on 24 May and the third match on 26 May. The final will be played on 28 May. The first match will start on May 24 at 3.30 pm while the rest of the match will start at 7.30 pm.
