Chief Information Commissioner Uttarakhand held a meeting with departmental officers in Almora

A review meeting was held with Anil Kumar Punetha, Chief Information Commissioner, Uttarakhand Information Commission, Public Information Officers and Appellate Officers of all departments of Dehradun district in the new Collectorate Auditorium, Almora in relation to the arrangements made in compliance with the procedures of the Right to Information Act. In which information about the procedures being adopted by the Information Commissioner for disposal of applications received under the Right to Information Act in all departments and information about the applications disposed of, pending and forwarded was taken. All the Public Information Officers and Appellate Officers present in the meeting were given detailed information regarding the procedure laid down for providing information to the applicant under the Right to Information Act and directed the Public Information Officers and Appellate Officers that all departments Uniformity should be brought in the process to be adopted for disposal of applications received under the Right to Information Act, District Magistrate Vandana Singh told that in the last financial year in relation to 364 applications and in relation to 32 applications received at the appellate level, the time limit for disposal of all cases done under. He said that all the provisions of the RTI Act are being followed. After receiving the information of RTI from the Public Information Officers/Appellate Officers of all the departments, the Commissioner praised the district and told to do all the works with full dedication and honesty.
