Uttarakhand / Haridwar: Traders protest against encroachment-free campaign

In Haridwar, the district administration carried out an encroachment free campaign from Har Ki Paidi to Shiv Murti Chowk. The administrative officers who arrived with JCB machines operated JCB on the encroachment outside the shops in the market. Due to the encroachment deposited in the market, there was a problem of jam in the market every day. City Magistrate Awadhesh Singh said that the encroachment of the market had been identified and action is being taken accordingly. Action will be taken from time to time to ensure that the encroachment does not accumulate again. However, some traders opposed the action to remove the encroachment due to the yatra season being on the bench.
