Uttarayan fair of Bageshwar has special significance from historical, mythological, religious, cultural, political and business point of view. Uttarayan fair was inaugurated in Bageshwar on Monday. Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat inaugurated the fair. The fair started with colorful tableaux in the city. Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat and District Magistrate Ashish Bhatgain flagged off the tableaux. After the inauguration of Uttarayan fair in Bageshwar, Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat won the hearts of the people by singing a wonderful folk song on the request of the people from the stage.

Earlier, he had inaugurated the Uttarayan fair as DM in the year 2012.
