Uttarakhand : Colonel joined BJP leaving AAP, Kothiyal joined BJP with supporters in presence of CM Dhami

Colonel Ajay Kothiyal, who was the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) CM candidate in the 2022 assembly elections, joined the BJP. Around 150 of his supporters joined BJP along with Kothiyal. Kothiyal had contested from the Gangotri assembly seat and lost. Along with this, the deposits of other AAP candidates were also forfeited. Col Kothiyal joined the BJP in the presence of senior leaders including CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, State President Madan Kaushik in a function organized at the BJP State Office on Tuesday evening.
After joining the party, Kothiyal said that he will work to take the ideology of BJP to the masses. He said that CM Pushkar Singh Dhami will win in Champawat by-election. Let us tell you that along with Col Kothiyal, a large number of his supporters including state working president Bhupesh Upadhyay had resigned from the party last Wednesday.
Kothiyal says that he had resigned from AAP due to the sentiments of youth including ex-servicemen, elders, women of the state. Kothiyal says that whatever the party’s responsibility to him, he will fulfill it.
So the rebellion started after the appointment of state president Deepak Bali
After the coronation of the state president of Deepak Bali in Uttarakhand, the rebellion started within the party. Kothiyal had kept a distance from Col Kothiyal Bali’s coronation program.
