A laborer has died after being buried in a pit being dug in the premises of Alaknanda Hotel. Actually, a laborer was digging a pit in the hotel premises. During this, suddenly while digging the pit, the laborer fell in it and the soil dug by filling it also fell on him. Due to this the worker died on the spot.
In this regard, the city police said that a 50-year-old laborer was digging a pit in the Alaknanda hotel complex. He slipped and fell into the pit. During this the soil fell from above. The people around took the laborer out by removing the soil, by then he had died. The labor has been sent to the district hospital for post-mortem.
Last month, on April 28, a new twist has come in the case of a couple who jumped in Ganganahar leaving a three-year-old child on the roadside. On May 12, the husband returned safely. On this, the brother of the deceased has filed a case against the brother-in-law in Kaliyar police station, accusing him of killing the sister by drowning in the Gangnahar under a well-planned conspiracy.
According to the police, Birbal and Rachna, residents of Manubas village, are husband and wife. On 28 April night, he reached Kaliyar with three-year-old child Dipanshu. There was a fight between the two over some issue. After this both of them jumped in Ganganahar.
On information, police and villagers reached the spot and searched for the couple. A search operation was also conducted in Ganganahar with the help of water police. On May 4, Rachna’s body was found from Asafnagar Jhal. After this, the relative did her thirteenth on May 11. Birbal suddenly returned home on 12th May. When Rachna’s brother Gurdeep, resident of Kuakheda Laxar got the information, he reached Kaliyar police station and lodged a complaint with the police.
He alleged that his brother-in-law Birbal had killed his sister as part of a well-planned conspiracy. At the same time, SHO Manohar Bhandari told that the accused youth has not been found at home, search is on for him.
