Uttarakhand: Preparations to run bulldozers in 4500 houses, electricity connection will be cut first

Haldwani: Bulldozers are ready to remove illegal occupation of railway land in Haldwani. The entire area is gasping for encroachment. The roads are jammed every day, making movement difficult.
After the district administration and railways, now the Energy Corporation is also going to take a big step to teach a lesson to the encroachers. Before demolishing thousands of houses, the energy corporation will cut the power of four and a half thousand houses. For this, the corporation has sent a budget to the district administration for the cost of removing the line. The department will also vacate the basement along with removing the electricity meters before the encroachment breaks down. In such a situation, it is clear that the eradication of encroachment is going to be done soon. Amidst the preparations to remove the encroachment, the Energy Corporation has also started the exercise of vacating its basement. The Energy Corporation has made a budget of Rs 89 lakh and handed it over to the administration. From this budget, the energy corporation will remove its electrical equipment.
Executive Engineer DD Bisht said that electricity meters installed on 4365 houses will be removed before the encroachment breaks down. Preparations have been started for this. The budget for the expenditure incurred in the work has been sent to the district administration. Let us inform that there are 4365 encroachments on 29 hectares of railway land in Haldwani. The High Court had directed the district administration and railways to remove the encroachment, although in the last hearing, the court had also asked the encroachers to present their side with documents. Here, the administration and the Railways have prepared a plan to remove the encroachment. Tenders have been floated by government departments for bulldozers and Poland. Police force will also be called from Kumaonbhar. Arrangements have been made for the accommodation of the police force. Several teams with bulldozers will work to remove encroachments. According to the district administration, it will take a month to clear the encroachment.
