Uttarakhand / Rudrapur : Patients suffering due to shortage of drinking water in district hospital

In the midst of the scorching heat, the patients and their attendants are facing problems due to the water supply coming to a standstill in the district hospital. On Wednesday, the drinking water system came to a standstill for two hours due to the blowing of the fuse of the power supply panel. Due to this, the patients, family members as well as the employees had to face problems. Later, after complaining to the Chief Medical Superintendent, the drinking water system could be restored.
Some of the attendants complained to the Principal Superintendent Dr. DS Panchpal due to the water supply being stopped in the district hospital at around 11 am on Wednesday. He said that due to non-availability of water, they have to buy mineral water from outside. Due to non-availability of water in the scorching heat, the patients and attendants admitted in the ward are facing problems. After about two hours a new fuse was installed in the power supply panel.
After this the drinking water system was restored. The patients said that even before this they had to face drinking water shortage many times due to blowing of motor pump. Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Panchpal told that the fuse of the power supply panel for the motor pump had blown but there was no new fuse in the hospital. Now 15 new fuses have been purchased. Due to this, now patients will not have to face shortage of drinking water in case of fuse blowing.
