BJP MP Tejashwi Surya made remarks against Islam amidst uproar over Nupur Sharma’s statement, had to face protests in Sydney

The Indian government is already facing opposition from Arab countries over the statements of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. At the same time, Tejashwi Surya, president and MP of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Australia, gave such a statement about Islam, due to which he had to face opposition. BJP MP Surya had reached Sydney to address the Australia-India Youth Dialogue Summit, where he faced opposition.

BJP MP Tejashwi Surya, who is on a tour to Australia to participate in the Australia-India Youth Dialogue, faced protests for his remarks. He said in a statement that Islam has grown with bloodshed and violence. Simultaneously, Tejasvi Surya at a private function at a college in Parramatta near Sydney called for a ban on Halal food. Some student organizations and Muslim groups protested against the BJP MP’s visit, leading to the cancellation of his public programme.

Last year, BJP MP Tejashwi Surya had given a statement that those who have converted to Hinduism, Islam and Christianity, they will get them converted to Hinduism again. There was a lot of opposition to this statement of the BJP MP and then the BJP central leadership warned him to avoid such statements, after which the BJP MP withdrew his statement.

BJP could not even recover from the protest against Nupur Sharma’s statement that now BJP MP Tejashwi Surya’s statement has increased the problems of the party. Muslim organizations are already demanding the arrest of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. At the same time, Asaduddin Owaisi has also demanded the arrest of Nupur Sharma. He has blamed PM Narendra Modi for the incident.
