Uttarakhand / Roorkee : Three members of the same family died, two injured while returning to Delhi by car after bathing in the Ganges

Three members of a family returning from Haridwar to Delhi after bathing in the Ganges died in a road accident. While four people are injured, two of them are in critical condition, they have been referred to the Higher Center. The accident took place near Nagla Imarti village on the Delhi-Haridwar highway.

Yogesh Kumar, 37-Mukundpur resident of Delhi, father Balwant Kumar, mother Mughli Devi, wife Geeta Devi, sons Daksha and Yagnik and younger brother Kishan along with their car had come to Haridwar for bathing in the Ganges. These people were returning to Delhi after bathing in the Ganges in the afternoon. When his car reached near Nagla Imarti village of Kotwali Roorkee area, a truck wrongfully tried to overtake. Kishan, who was driving the car, said that while trying to escape from the truck, the car collided with the divider. The collision was so tremendous that Yogesh, his son Daksh and mother Mughli Devi died on the spot in the accident. While father Balwant Kumar and Yagnik are seriously injured. Kishan and Geeta Devi have minor injuries. Chief Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Roorkee, Dr. Sanjay Kansal said that the seriously injured Balwant Kumar and Yagnik have been referred to AIIMS Rishikesh. Kishan told that his brother Yogesh used to work as a property. Kotwali Roorkee in-charge Inspector Devendra Singh Chauhan said that no complaint has been received in the matter so far.
