Road accidents in Uttarakhand, Champawat number one in horrific road accidents; Six accidents in five months

Champawat is number one in the state in horrific road accidents. There have been five horrific accidents here in five months this year. In this 26 people died. While more than 50 have been injured. On the other hand, Uttarkashi is at number two with three accidents. Thirty people have lost their lives in accidents here.

The Directorate of Traffic has released these figures after the horrific accidents in Damta, Uttarkashi. According to the data, so far ten people have died in two horrific accidents in Pauri. While 19 people have been injured.

At the same time, seven people have died in two horrific accidents in Tehri. At the same time, three people have died in an accident in Almora and two people in US Nagar. Most of the accidents happened with small vehicles like Max or Car, while only three accidents happened with Bus and Truck.

Black spots are being marked anew: To prevent road accidents, new black spots are being marked in the state. Now every place where there have been at least five road accidents will be declared as black spots. The Directorate of Traffic has started marking according to the new standards. At present 162 black spots are marked in the state.

Overloading, speeding and long journeys of drivers are the causes of most of the accidents on the hills. Police is continuously checking so that accidents can be prevented. During the travel season, special instructions have been given to curb accidents. For this the checking has been speeded up. New black spots are also being marked in the state.
