Rajasthan : The attackers had come to the shop on the pretext of giving measurements; Gehlot said – strict action will be taken
Two Muslim youths brutally murdered a Hindu youth Kanhaiya Lal in broad daylight in Udaipur on Tuesday. The accused also made a confession video of the murder in which he made indecent remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Family members say that the young man had posted in support of Nupur Sharma about 10 days ago. Since then he was getting threats. He had also given this information to the police but did not show any seriousness. CM Ashok Gehlot has ordered strict action against the accused.
Reacting to the incident, Udaipur Collector Tara Chand Meena said, “The criminal has no caste. The law is taking its course and strictest action will be taken against the accused. Assistance will be provided to the victim’s family as much as possible. Action will be taken under the provisions which are there.
Two bike-borne miscreants came to the shop today on the pretext of giving the measurement of clothes. Then suddenly, with a sword, he was hit on the head and throat. Due to this the young man died on the spot. A video of the attack has also surfaced in which a young man stabbed his neck with a sharp weapon. However, News18 does not confirm the video. The incident happened around 2.30 pm. He had his own shop named Supreme Tailors near Bhootmahal in Dhanmandi area. Two miscreants riding bikes came and stabbed them. Kanhaiya Lal died on the spot after inflicting half a dozen blows one after the other.
Chief Minister appealed for peace
Thereafter both the miscreants fled from the spot. After the murder, a lot of blood spread on the spot. The miscreants fled with the bike. Meanwhile, CM Ashok Gehlot, while ordering strict action against the accused, appealed to all the parties to maintain peace. He said in one of his tweets, “I appeal to everyone not to try to spoil the atmosphere by sharing the video of this incident. Strict action will be taken against all the criminals involved in this incident and the police will go to the bottom of the crime. I appeal to all parties to maintain peace.”
