Uddhav Thackeray’s first reaction on Eknath Shinde becoming CM, gave this statement

Former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has congratulated the new government of the state. He tweeted and wrote that best wishes to the newly appointed Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the future. I wish you all the best for doing good work in Maharashtra.

After several days of political drama in Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray had resigned from the post of CM on the previous day. Today Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis proposed to form the government in front of the Governor. After this Devendra Fadnavis announced the name of Eknath Shinde for the post of CM. Then Eknath Shinde took oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister.

Sharad Pawar also congratulated

Apart from former CM Uddhav Thackeray, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has also congratulated the new government. He said that I congratulate Eknath Shinde for his new responsibility. At the same time, he also said that today nobody had imagined Shinde to become the CM.

Cabinet meeting held

At the same time, after the swearing-in ceremony, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis also took the first cabinet meeting of the new government. After this meeting, CM Eknath Shinde said that I express my gratitude to Devendra Fadnavis. He has shown a big heart. Now we have to complete many unfinished tasks. We will work to restart the projects which were stalled during the time of the previous government. Now justice will be done to all and our government will take decisions in the interest of the people. The Governor has asked Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to prove his majority on Saturday. There will be a special session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Saturday.
