Actually, the father of the child had gone in search of an ambulance to take his young dead son home. Till then his eldest son Gulshal was sitting with his brother’s body in his lap. Seeing this incident, the agitated people have accused the officials of being insensitive.

The incident happened on Sunday and the body of the child was to be taken to Badfra village, about 30 km from Morena district hospital. So the father was looking for an ambulance. This video has gone viral in social media.

After the matter came to light, Surendra Gurjar, Resident Medical Officer of Morena District Hospital said that Poojaram Jatav, a resident of Badfra village, brought his two-year-old son Raja by ambulance on Sunday morning, who was referred from a hospital in Ambah town of the district. .

He said the ambulance returned to Ambah after dropping him at the district hospital, while the child died on Sunday afternoon while undergoing treatment for anemia and other ailments. The official said that after the death of the child, his father Jatav demanded an ambulance from some hospital staff, but the vehicle was not available at that time. Later, a police vehicle took the child’s body to Jatav’s house, he said.

Tagging the video of this incident on his Twitter handle, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath wrote, ‘This painful picture is also making emotional and angering the health systems in Madhya Pradesh. In Morena, an eight-year-old innocent child was sitting in the hospital with the body of his 2-year-old younger brother. His father Poojaram Jatav kept pleading for an ambulance to take the son’s body to the village, but he did not get an ambulance or a dead body for hours.

He said, ‘I request Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan that as the head of the state, you should strengthen the medical system so that seven crore people of the state do not have to face the punishment for your negligence.’
