The Sports Minister said that on the occasion of Sports Day on August 29, sports scholarships would be given to children in the age group of eight to 14 years. In future, the children who have been selected in this, will be given various opportunities to keep their sports talent intact. What kind of opportunities can be given to them, departmental officers have been instructed to prepare proposals for this.

Regarding the Sports Development Fund, the Minister said that the proposal made by the department for this would be discussed with the Chief Minister. The minister said that earlier players used to get four per cent sports quota, but for the last few years this matter is in court. To review how it can be restarted. Regarding giving 300 days employment to the PRD jawans, the minister said that the cabinet has agreed on this subject. The minister said that in which departments the PRD jawans can be accommodated, an outline should be prepared.
