Delhi to Chitrakoot 630 KM distance in just 6 hours, PM Modi will present Bundelkhand Expressway to UP today

The ‘Bundelkhand Expressway’ of Uttar Pradesh has been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it on 16 July. Along with inaugurating the Bundelkhand Expressway, Prime Minister Modi will also address a public meeting. This expressway, built in record time and less than the estimated cost, will not only facilitate the people of Bundelkhand to reach Delhi, the capital of the country, but will also accelerate industrial development.
Let’s know 10 special things about this expressway …
- With the construction of Bundelkhand Expressway, the journey of Delhi will become easier for the people of Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur and Jalaun. More than 250 small bridges, more than 15 flyovers, 6 toll plazas and more than 12 major bridges and 4 rail bridges have been built on this expressway. 24-hour police patrolling and ambulance facility will also be made available.
- The length of Bundelkhand Expressway is 296 km. There is also additional land on both sides of the four-lane wide Bundelkhand Expressway, so that if the movement of trains increases in future, then it can be widened to 6 lanes.
- Till now, a distance of about 700 km had to be covered from Chitrakoot to reach Delhi. It used to take about 12 to 14 hours. After the Bundelkhand Expressway is built, this distance will be reduced to only 630 km and time will also be saved.
- It is being claimed that due to the reduction of travel distance, the journey from Chitrakoot to Delhi via expressway will be completed in only 6 hours.
- For the convenience of the people, 4 public convenience centers have been set up on this 296 km long expressway. Apart from this, 4 petrol pumps will also be built.
- Barbed wire fencing has been put on both sides to prevent any animal from coming on the expressway. 7 lakh tree saplings will also be planted on both sides of the expressway. Despite this, if any animal ever comes on the road, arrangements have been made for a Cattle Catcher Vehicle which will come in handy to catch it.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of Bundelkhand Expressway in February-2020. The project was to be completed in February 2023, but the work was completed 8 months back.
- An expenditure of Rs 14,850 crore has been spent on the construction of the six-part expressway.
- This expressway passes through 8 rivers Bagen, Ken, Shyama, Chandawal, Birma, Yamuna, Betwa and Sengar.
