Filmmaker Avinash Das detained by Gujarat Police, had controversial tweet on Amit Shah

Filmmaker Avinash Das has been detained by Gujarat Police for sharing the photo of Home Minister Amit Shah with arrested officer Pooja Singhal. Gujarat Police has detained Avinash Das from Mumbai. He had posted a picture of Amit Shah with Pooja Singhal on Twitter. Police officials said that Avinash Das is being brought to Ahmedabad for further action. DP Chudasama, Assistant Commissioner of Crime Branch of Ahmedabad Police said that we have detained Avinash Das from Mumbai on Tuesday. Our team is bringing them to Ahmedabad for further legal action.

Ahmedabad Crime Branch has registered a case against Avinash Das under section 469 (cheating). Apart from this, a case has also been registered in the case related to the IT Act and insult of national symbols. Avinash Das had also shared pictures of a woman on Facebook and Instagram accounts, in which she was seen wearing the tricolor. IAS officer Pooja Singhal was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case.

Avinash Das’s application was rejected by the court

After this Avinash Das shared the picture of Pooja Singhal with Amit Shah. In this case, Avinash Das had moved the Bombay High Court for pre-arrest bail, but his application was rejected by the court. A team of Ahmedabad Crime Branch was camping in Mumbai for the past one week to take custody of Avinash Das, who made ‘Anarkali of Aarah’ movie. Police said that Avinash Das was arrested when he was on his way from home to office.

Police officials said that preparations are now being made to bring Avinash Das to Mumbai. The picture shared by Avinash Das was from an event in 2017, in which Pooja Singhal was seen talking to Home Minister Amit Shah. Due to this photo, a case was registered against him for hurting the honor of Amit Shah and misleading people.
