Minorities have the first right on the country’s property, Ruckus on Jagdish Thakor’s statement, Haj House written on Gujarat Congress office
Before the assembly elections in Gujarat, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress have come face to face. There has been a ruckus on the statement of Gujarat State President Jagdish Thakor. Vishwa Hindu Parishad protested over his statement. A poster of Haj House was put up outside the Congress office. Not only this, soot was given on the wall outside. After which the controversy escalated. When the matter escalated, the police reached the spot and controlled the situation.
Gujarat Congress President Jagdish Thakor had reached the Congress minority convention. Addressing the people here, he said that the first right on the property of the country belongs to the minorities. The Bajrang Dal had lodged a protest against his statement.
Ask Muslims to support
Jagdish Thakor urged the Muslims to support the Congress in the coming assembly elections. He also said that he would demand from the party leadership that a separate manifesto be made for Muslims as well.
‘Need to be united’
Gujarat Congress Chief said in the address that you all know who is behind the riots in the country? And how did they (BJP) benefit from these riots? We should not fall into their trap. Thakor said the Congress has always stood with the minorities and will never change its ideology. Whether he is in power or not. He also said that all Muslims need to remain united and be careful that their vote is not divided.
Controversy over posters and soot
On Jagdish Thakor’s statement, a ruckus started in Gujarat. Hindu organizations expressed their displeasure. Workers of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad took to the road. They put up posters of Haj House outside the Congress office. Haj House was written by soot outside the office. After putting up the posters all over the Congress office, stickers and posters were also put up on the posters of Rajiv Gandhi. In the morning, the Congress registered a protest regarding this and the police reached the spot, removed the poster and pacified the dispute.
