Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Bua’s son sentenced to life imprisonment in murder case

The court of Additional District and Sessions Court Neelam Ratra found the accused guilty in the murder case and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000. In default of payment of fine, one year additional imprisonment has been ordered.

ADGC Girja Shankar Pandey and Navin Chandra Joshi told that on the night of 9 September 2018, Manoj Kashyap, a resident of Hiranagar, a tea vendor, was murdered. On September 10, the brother of the deceased had filed a case in the matter. After investigating the matter, the police arrested Ashish Kashyap, resident of Rajendra Nagar Premnagar Bareilly and registered a case on September 12. It was told that the killer is the son of the aunt of the deceased. He killed Manoj in a dispute over shop and house. After this the charge sheet was filed by the police in the court. Ten witnesses were presented in the court. Although the accused had repeatedly argued in the court to falsely implicate him, but on Friday, in the judgment pronounced by the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ashish Kashyap was sentenced to life imprisonment.
