Uttarakhand : SBI’s bank manager’s body recovered from Ganga, was missing for two days

The body of the manager of SBI branch located in Pauri tehsil in Uttarakhand was found in the Ganges along with the car near Beasi. Police have sent the body to AIIMS hospital for post-mortem. The bank manager had left his house in Dehradun for Pauri duty on Sunday. His last location was found in Beasi area.

During the search operation on Tuesday morning, the police found a car falling in the Ganges near Beasi on the Badrinath National Highway. On the information of the police, the team of SDRF Beasi reached the spot and started the operation to get the car out of the Ganges. During this, SDRF also saw the dead body of a young man trapped in the car.

But due to the high water level and flow of the Ganges, the rescue operation was facing problems. After this the team of SDRF Dhalwala was sent to the spot. Late in the evening, after a lot of effort, the SDRF team took out the body along with the car from the Ganges. The body was identified as Amit Vijetra (36) son Jabar Singh, resident of Kolagarh, Prempur under Premnagar police station area of ​​Dehradun.

Munikireti police station in-charge Ritesh Shah said that the deceased Amit Vijetra was the manager of SBI located in Sainji village of Pauri tehsil. He had left for Pauri for duty in his car from Dehradun on Sunday. But even till Monday he did not reach Pauri. After this, Amit’s family members lodged a missing complaint at Premnagar police station.

According to the information received from the surveillance team, his last location was found in Beasi area. On Tuesday, the body along with the car was recovered from the Ganges, a kilometer before Beasi. He said that the deceased has been identified from the relatives. The body has been sent to AIIMS Rishikesh for post-mortem.
