After injury to Yashwant and vote for Murmu, now JMM with opposition

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), which voted for NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu in the presidential election, has now announced its support to Margaret Alva as expected in the vice presidential election. The party has asked its MPs to vote for the opposition candidate Margaret Alva. In the Vice Presidential election, there is a contest between Alva and NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar.
In the order issued to the MPs on behalf of JMM President Shibu Soren, it has been said, “You are aware that Margaret Alva is the Vice Presidential candidate on behalf of the opposition in the upcoming Vice Presidential election. After consideration, it has been decided to vote in favor of Margaret Alva in the Vice Presidential election. All you MPs are directed to vote in favor of Margaret Alva in the Vice Presidential election to be held on 6th August.
The opposition was given a blow in the presidential election
The JMM did not support the opposition camp in the presidential election. The party voted for Draupadi Murmu, former Jharkhand governor and tribal community member, instead of Yashwant Sinha, former MP from Hazaribagh and opposition candidate. The JMM took this step in view of the large tribal population in the state. At the same time, many Congress MLAs also voted for Murmu.
