Talking about this in a special conversation with Indian Express, Alia Bhatt said- It has been a difficult time for Indian cinema. We should be a little kind towards Hindi films. Today we are sitting here and saying – Oh Bollywood…Oh Hindi cinema…But are we even counting those films which have made a very good collection this year.

Alia further said- Good films always perform well. Alia said that this is a difficult time for cinema, as the film industry is still emerging from the loss caused by Kovid. Alia said- Theaters were closed for about 2 years, so assessment is going on now that which films will work in theaters? Which movies are you working on? Good content always plays. But right now we are trying to understand again which films we will release in theaters and which films we will release directly on the OTT platform. This does not mean that Hindi cinema is over. This is not happening.
