Uttarakhand / Pauri : Accused of molesting girl absconding

A case of molesting a girl has come to light in a village of Ekeshwar block. The girl and her family say that the accused is now refusing to marry. The young man and the girl belong to the same village and belong to different castes. In the case, on the complaint of the relatives, the revenue police had registered a case under various sections including misconduct and SCST. Due to non-compliance of police work of Revenue Police, this case was transferred to Regular Police on the orders of DM. Now the Regulur police is investigating the matter.

Pauri’s CO PL Tamta said that in this case of revenue area, the police went to the victim’s house and took the statements of the family members. After this, while getting the girl medical done, magisterial statements have also been taken. In the medical report, the girl was found pregnant. The girl has also given an application in this matter. The relatives have alleged that the accused is not even getting married now and the father of the accused is also opposing it. A complaint has been made that the father of the accused also used caste words. CO PL Tamta told that on which the police arrested the father of the accused in this case, while the accused is currently absconding. The police has started its investigation in the whole matter. Soon the accused will also be arrested.
