Maharashtra : Shock to Sanjay Raut again, court extended judicial custody till August 22

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut did not get relief from the court even on Monday. The court has extended his custody till August 22. The special thing is that Raut, who is facing the Enforcement Directorate’s investigation in the Patra Chawl case, was arrested on Sunday. The court has sent him into custody for the third time.

On Thursday, the court extended Raut’s custody till August 8. At the same time, the court had also found that the agency has made considerable ‘progress’ in the investigation. The ED is probing Raut in the money laundering case. On Saturday, his wife Varsha had also appeared before the probe agency for questioning. The ED had questioned him for about 9 hours on Saturday.

The ED said that the documents found during the investigation show that the properties purchased by Raut in Alibaug also involved large cash transactions. The probe agency has claimed that Rs 1.08 crore has been found in the bank account of Raut’s wife.
