Grand finale of Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022, next meeting in Victoria in 2026

Kamal and Zareen lead

Gold medalist table tennis player Achanta Sharath Kamal and boxer Nikhat Zareen led the Indian contingent at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. Star shuttler PV Sindhu and men’s hockey team captain Manpreet Singh led the march past with the Indian flag at the opening ceremony.

India ranked fourth

India finished fourth in the Commonwealth Games. Indian players won 22 gold, 15 silver and 23 bronze medals. Finished fourth in the medal tally with a total of 61 medals in the competition.
