DMRC informed about the closure of Delhi Metro stations for Independence Day rehearsals

Gates of some stations have been closed due to Independence Day rehearsals in the capital. According to the information given by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), due to the dress rehearsal of Independence Day, the metro stations where the gates have been closed till 11 am today. They include ITO Metro Station, Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Delhi Gate. All other stations are open, other entry and exit gates can be used.

According to DMRC, gate number 1, 2 and 3 of ITO metro station have been closed till 11 am today due to rehearsals for Independence Day. Gate number four of Red Fort Metro station has been closed. Gate number three and four of Jama Masjid metro station have been kept closed. At the same time, gate numbers 1, 4 and 5 have been closed at Delhi Gate Metro station.

In view of security, vehicle parking facility will not be available at metro stations of Delhi from Sunday morning to Monday afternoon. DMRC, however, has said that metro train services will continue to operate normally. According to a notification issued by DMRC, “In view of the security measures taken on the occasion of Independence Day, vehicle parking facility will be available at metro stations of Delhi from 6 AM on Sunday 14th August, 2022 to 2 PM on 15th August, 2022.” Won’t be.”

Delhi Police Traffic Advisory

Delhi Police on Thursday issued traffic advisories to ensure smooth movement of vehicles in the capital in view of the Independence Day celebrations. According to the police advisory, Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chandni Chowk Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Esplanade Road and Link Road leading to Netaji Subhash Marg, Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT and from ISBT to IP Flyover A total of eight roads, including the Outer Ring Road, will remain closed for the vehicles of the general public.
