Uttarakhand / Ramnagar : Minor girl raped, case registered

In Ramnagar, a BA student has been accused of raping a class 12 student. On the complaint of the girl’s father, the police registered a case and arrested the accused. VHP workers created a ruckus in Kotwali in protest against the incident.

Kotwal Arun Kumar Saini said that on Saturday afternoon, information was received that a young man had taken a student to a house. The police caught both of them and brought them to the Kotwali. During interrogation, the youth revealed his name as Sameer Siddiqui resident near Noori Masjid Khatadi. He told that he is a student of B.A. The girl student is a class 12 student in a school in Ramnagar area. The police called the family of the girl student to Kotwali. On the complaint of the father, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections 363, 376, 506 and 3/4 POCSO Act. The accused will be produced in the court on Sunday.

Here, Sanjay Suyal of Vishwa Hindu Parishad reached Suraj Chaudhary and Kotwali and demanded strict action against the accused. CO Baljit Singh Bhakuni said that a case has been registered against the accused.
