Due to the three-day holiday, there has been an influx of tourists in Mussoorie and nearby places. Almost all the hotels, guest houses in Mussoorie, Dhanaulti, Buranshkhanda, Kanatal and Kampti area are packed with tourists. The influx of tourists continues.

On Saturday, the Mussoorie-Dehradun Highway was blocked for about two kilometers between Kuthalgate and Kolhukhet for the whole day. At the same time, people were stuck in a jam of about five to six km between Mussoorie Lake-Gajji Band, ITBP Academy main gate to Kinkreg.

Vehicles kept moving in a jam of about four km long on the Kinkreg-Library Chowk-Zero Point Kempty road. The library and picture palace mall road barriers were jammed throughout the day. In Dehradun too, huge crowds were seen in the surrounding areas including Guchupani, Sahasradhara, Maldevta.

Nearby tourist places including Nainital are also heavily visited by tourists. Here too the hotel-guest houses are fully packed. Due to the increasing pressure of vehicles, the police have started shuttle service by stopping tourist vehicles at the entry points of the city.
