Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera has held a press conference on Wednesday on the release of the convicts of the Bilkis Bano case. Pawan Kheda made many serious allegations against the BJP government of Gujarat in the press conference. He said, “This release is not the decision of the judiciary, but the decision of the government. The Supreme Court had ordered the Gujarat government to take a decision within 3 months. The decision cannot be taken by the state government alone
Pawan Khera further said, when the investigation was done by the CBI, the decision of release in it cannot be done by the state government alone. He said, “As per section 345 of CrPC, want to know from Prime Minister and Home Minister whether permission was taken from AAP before release? If not, what action should be taken against the Chief Minister of Gujarat for carrying out this illegal act. the ones?”
Question on Aam Aadmi Party’s silence?
Pawan Khera asked the Chief Minister of Gujarat, saying, “The Chief Minister of Gujarat, who are the members of the Jail Advisory Committee, who made this recommendation? When did it come? On May 8, 2013, the Supreme Court was informed about the new mandate. Why are those demanding Nirbhaya case silent today, why are other opposition parties silent?” Questioning the silence of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Bilkis Bano case, without naming Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that why are the parties which were agitating during Nirbhaya’s time silent on this matter?
