Rajasthan : ‘We are ready for CBI investigation if the family wants’, CM Ashok Gehlot said on the death of Dalit student

In Jalore, Rajasthan, the ruckus continues in the case of the death of a 9-year-old Dalit student. The family alleges that the child was thrashed by the teacher, Chhail Singh, in the school of Surana village, due to which his ear vein burst and he died. The Dalit student was studying in the third class.

He said that it is a big deal for any child to die. Big steps were taken after the incident, so that action could be taken quickly. Orders were given that FIR would have to be registered in this case. Gehlot, however, refused to give his own opinion on the issue. He said that a teacher has been arrested in the incident. The state system is working on this issue.

Gehlot further said that BJP’s Dalit MLAs themselves are saying that this has not happened. But what one comments on this issue, it depends on him. CM Gehlot said that he has not stopped anyone from meeting the family members of the victim. Anyone who wants can go to meet him.

Ashok Gehlot further said, ‘Soniaji, Rahul Gandhiji said that the victim should be helped, then the state Congress helped him. We have told the victim’s family that you will be fully supported. If the victim’s family wants, the Rajasthan government is also ready to conduct a CBI investigation.

Referring to another incident, he said that an incident had happened just now, in which a girl child was accused of rape. On completion of the investigation of the case, it was found that it was an incident of road accident, in which the girl died.

CM Gehlot said that the issue of untouchability coming to the fore in our country is a stigma on humanity. BJP should cooperate with us by discussing amongst ourselves. He should remove this stigma before talking of Hindu Rashtra.

On the question related to Sachin Pilot, Gehlot said that if he has to talk to the media then there is no problem in it. If someone criticizes on the right issue, then their advice will be taken. Gehlot took a jibe and said, ‘We are not Amit Shah or Narendra Modi.
