Stray dogs bitten eight villagers in three villages located in Chauthan Patti of Block Thalisain. Three villagers injured in the attack got treatment at Deghat Hospital and five villagers at Bungidhar Hospital. At the same time, the Animal Husbandry Department is denying information about the incident.

Stray dogs bitten and injured eight villagers in Jainti, Dang and Kimwadi villages located in Chauthan Patti of Block Thalisain. Balwant Singh Gentwal of Jainti village told that in Jainti village Bhaguli Devi, Vimala Devi, daughter of villager Thakur Singh in Dang village and Kaimwadi village. Heera Singh, Anand Singh Negi, Keshar Singh, Kala Devi and son of Bhim Singh were bitten by the dog. He told that Bhaguli Devi, Vimala Devi and another private resource went to Deghat Hospital (Almora) where they were vaccinated against rabies along with treatment. At the same time, five people injured in the dog attack in Kimwadi were admitted to Bungidhar Hospital. Gentwal said that the officials of the Animal Husbandry Department were informed in this regard, but no positive initiative has been taken so far. On the other hand, in-charge of Government Veterinary Hospital Thalisain and pharmacist Ravidev Singh Rahul said that no information has been received about the villagers being injured in the attack of stray dogs. Action will be taken on receipt of information.
