News agency Xinhua has reported that an island has come out of the river, in which three statues of Lord Buddha have been found. All three of these sculptures have been found on the top of the rock of an island, Foeliang. According to the news agency Xinhua, it may have been built during the time of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Lord Buddha is seen sitting on a lotus flower on an idol of Buddha.
Heatwave worsens the situation
Due to the heatwave, the level of the Yangtze River is falling rapidly. Due to this, there has been a situation of drought in the southwestern part of China. This time in July, the rainfall has reduced by 45 percent and the water in the Yangtze River has reached the lowest level. It is being told that the heat will increase further in the coming days, due to which the situation may worsen from bad to worse. In China’s Wongqing, 66 rivers flowing through 34 villages have dried up. Even in Europe, when the temperature started rising, similar things came out of the rivers there too.
The Yangtze River is the largest river in China and because of this river, the population here gets drinking water. It has been said by the Ministry of Water Resources that the water of the river is at its lowest level and work will have to be done very carefully in the coming days. Hydropower, transport work is also done from the water of this river. The water of this river is also used for agriculture.
