Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has written a letter to Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, urging him to conduct a high-level inquiry into the appointments made in the Uttarakhand Assembly Secretariat. There has been a lot of controversy regarding these appointments for the last several days. The opposition has alleged that these appointments have been rigged. Pushkar Singh Dhami has asked the Speaker to cancel the appointments if irregularities are found in them.

Pushkar Singh Dhami has written in the letter that for the past several days, allegations are being made on social media and news channels on the appointments made in the Secretariat. He said that the Legislative Assembly is a dignified autonomous constitutional body and maintaining the dignity of this institution has been the top priority of all of us.
It is important to maintain dignity
In the letter, the Chief Minister has asked the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly to consider two points. In the first point, he said that a high level inquiry should be conducted in relation to the appointments made in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat. If any irregularity is found in this then all such irregular appointments should be cancelled. In the second point, he said that provision should be made for fair and transparent appointments in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat in future.
