West Bengal : ED raid at businessman’s house in Kolkata, 7 crore cash recovered, 8 machines called for counting notes

Enforcement Directorate (ED) took major action in Garden Reach area of Kolkata on Saturday. According to the information, ED has raided the house of a businessman here. During this Rs 7 crore cash has been recovered. Also for counting notes. 8 machines have been installed. The ED team has taken raids at 6 places in Kolkata.
The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday conducted a simultaneous search operation at around 6 places in Kolkata in connection with a money laundering case related to mobile gaming applications.
It is alleged that a person named Aamir Khan had launched a mobile gaming application named ‘E-Nuggets’ sometime back. It was designed with the aim of deceiving people. Through this won the trust of the first users. After this people started investing in large amounts through the app.
After collecting a substantial amount from the people, suddenly the withdrawal was stopped from the app on some pretext. After this, the entire data including the profile of the application was erased from the server. After that the customers understood the whole game. A case was registered against Aamir by Kolkata Police under sections 420, 406, 409, 468, 469, 471, 34 of IPC on the basis of complaint.
During the search operation, ED officials noticed that fake accounts were being used by the accused. More than Rs 7 crore in cash has been recovered so far in the ED investigation. Not only this, the counting of notes is going on at the moment. Simultaneously, a search operation is being conducted.
