Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Truck collides with school bus

A school bus was hit by an uncontrollable truck in Himmatpur Baijnath on Saturday morning. The bus was damaged in the accident. It is a matter of relief that no child or school staff has been hurt.

At 7:05 am a private school bus was going to pick up the children in Himmatpur Baijnath. Meanwhile, a truck full of bricks was seen coming uncontrollably from the front. On this, the school bus driver, showing understanding, immediately stopped the bus and parked it on the side of the road.

Despite this, the truck driver rammed the school bus from the side, causing panic. Immediately the people present there reached to help the children sitting in the bus. In no time all the children and other staff were thrown out.

Rajendra Prasad, who was present on the spot, told that his son studies in the same school. He had come to drop his child on the bus. Said that the truck driver is still sleepy and he is sleeping even after doing the accident. Harish Kanwal told that the truck was coming uncontrollably from the beginning.

Luckily the driver of the school bus stopped the bus. Later, all the children were sent to school by another bus sent by the school. There was a lot of resentment among the local people towards the truck driver.

School management in preparation for action
School Principal DS Bisht told that the matter is in his cognizance. It is a matter of relief that no one was hurt, he said. Said that legal action would be taken against the truck driver on Sunday. Here Mukhani police station has said that no complaint has been received in this matter.
